Following a reading at the Royal Court and a production in Belfast care of Prime Cut Theatre, my translation of Villa, written and directed by leading Chilean playwright and screenwriter Guillermo Calderón (B at the Royal Court, Neruda)ran for the month of March at The Wild Project, New York, produced by The Play Company.  This powerful exploration of the legacy of dictatorship and national trauma garnered great reviews in the US and further consolidates Guillermo’s status as one of Chile’s most important and exciting writers today.
