Abel González Melo (Cuba)

One of Cuba’s best-known playwrights, Abel was born in Havana and is currently based in Madrid.  His 2006 play Kiddo premiered at the National Theatre of Cuba before being performed in Spain and adapted for the cinema.  His work has been staged throughout the Spanish-speaking world as well as in the US, France, Germany and Italy.  He is also a poet, an essayist and a narrative writer.
